Christmas Gift from our Community
We love being a Community School. A week ago a Junior mum Rachel gifted our front of school Christmas display. It is such an amazing recognition for the love of our school that families share with us and each other.
I received this email during the week which melted my heart:
Hi there,
My family and I live a couple of streets away from your school, so drive past quite frequently, and I just wanted to say how lovely the Christmas decorations look on the front fence. They make me smile each time I go past.
Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas.
Kind regards,
Kellie Maloney
Thanks to Rachel for your generosity.
Lending Library from Somerset Storyfest Project
Dear school community, we are very excited and privileged to have been donated a Little Lending Library from the Somerset Storyfest project. This Lending Library will provide an opportunity for students to experience the pleasure of sharing and discovering stories. The concept is simple - Take a Book, Leave a Book or swap a book.
Our Lending Library will be located next to our school administration office, if your young person would like to donate or borrow books from the Lending Library, please communicate directly with your classroom teacher. So that we can continue to meet COVID-safe protocols (the office will assist with sanitiser to wipe over the books before loaning), either parents can come in to the foyer area and support your young person or classroom teachers can facilitate visits with students to the Lending Library during school hours. Please communicate with your teachers through the communication diary if you would like their assistance.
Lastly, we would like to share the Lending Library vision from the Somerset Storyfest project “We hope that our Little Lending Library will become a symbol of trust and hope – a tiny vestibule of literary happiness.” Thank you.
Please find attached the meeting minutes from our last meeting held on Friday 20th November. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.
Our next meeting will be next year on Friday 12th February 2021.
As this is my last correspondence to you all this year, I want to wish you and your families a safe and happy holidays. It has been a pleasure working with you all and I’m looking forward to all of the wonderful things we can do next year for our P&C, our school and our students!
Take care,
Karen Lee

Covid Guidelines Weekly Updates
Stop the Spread of COVID-19
Maintaining the required hygiene and physical distancing measures in place in our school. These are our most effective ways to stop the spread of COVID-19.
In Term 4 we will maintain limiting large groups of adults onsite or outside personnel from outside agencies eg therapists. All contractors for work repairs will adhere to Departmental guidelines.
The greatest news today is to hear that Graduations can now support dancing as an activity.
We would like to clarify that if a member of your household is sick, you are not required to stay home unless you have received health advice to do so.
Any person who is sick (staff, student or parent) should stay home and if they have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, get tested.
Symptoms of COVID-19 can include:
- Fever
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Runny nose
- Loss of taste or smell
- Tiredness and muscle aches
- Vomiting and/or diarrhoea
- Shortness of breath
If students or staff present at school as unwell we will follow up and request an imediate early departure until a medical clearance is provided and confirmation that the person is well.
We need to ensure we stay home if recurring flu like symptoms present to decrease the spread of influenza.
Further information about COVID-19 testing is available via the link below:
If you have any questions, please call your doctor or call 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84).
