#Together
Working collaboratively with our government elected members is very important to our school community. This week I met with Ros Bates Member for Mudgeeraba to discuss current school intiatives and the future plans. We also lamented on our work ensuring that through this Covid period we are ensuring the wellbeing of the school community.
I would like to acknowledge the outstanding efforts from all of our staff and community as you continue to uphold the wellbeing of Mudgeeraba Special School community.
Over the past few days there has been increased media coverage around the latest COVID health alerts that may be causing increased anxiety in our communities.
The Executive Response Team and support teams throughout our department continue to follow these developments, and are ensuring we have appropriate arrangements in place to support our school, regional and corporate staff.
The department will continue to follow Queensland Government guidelines to keep our students, staff, families and community safe there are a number of things we will need to continue doing.
Contact tracing
Following the recent confirmed COVID-19 cases in Queensland, a list of relevant locations and times has been provided by Queensland Health. These locations are being continuously updated by Queensland Health based on their contact tracing activities
Anyone who was present at any of these locations at the relevant times is asked to immediately self-quarantine and contact 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84).
Stop the spread of COVID-19
Maintaining the required hygiene and physical distancing measures in place in our school. These are our most effective ways to stop the spread of COVID-19. It is not preferred however for this term we will maintain limiting adults onsite in large groups.
If you or any members of your household have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, please do not attend your workplace or any public place – call your doctor or 13HEALTH (13 43 25 84) straight away.
