Continuity of learning from Department of Education
Continuity of learning remains an extremely important consideration in response to any emergency event and the department continues to support sustained curriculum delivery through a variety of ways.
The learning@home and Learning Place websites will continue to be available. Two-week units of work across the English, Mathematics and Science curriculum areas for Prep to Year 10 students are being progressively released during the remainder of this year. Teacher resources aligned to the resources are available through the Learning Place.
Our YouTube channel is a ready resource with all episodes of learning@home TV, reading@home TV and coding@home TV available for use by teachers, students and parents.
Commencing next week EDTV will be airing on our YouTube channel fortnightly every Friday. It will feature STEM, Languages, Writing, Health and Physical Education, and will showcase some of Queensland’s outstanding state school teachers and students. To access episodes and receive the latest information, make sure you subscribe to the newsletter.
The State Schools Support Line (1800 570 793) continues to operate, providing advice to families in relation to continuity of learning.
Our focus is to move forward through this 'new' time together.

Positive Behaviour for Learning
During week 3 our students will look at this teaching focus in a number of ways. Through explicit and incidental teaching, students will explore the skill of staying with the group and walk on pathways when they travel to and from assemblies and playground areas.
Parents can assist with this learning in a home school partnership way by asking your young person to stay with them during shopping trips and walking on pathways when walking to destinations after parking your car.
Sports Day 2020 with a Difference
Due to the Covid Health alert 2020 Sports Day will be very different. At today's P&C Meeting we discussed unfortunately this year this will be a student only event and we will creatively include parents electronically.

P&C Volunteer Uniform Coordinator Expression of Interest
The P&C are advertising their Uniform Coordinator. We thank Angela Watson for her outstanding service to the P&C. It is unfortunate that Angela will not be continuing in Term 4 due to relocating from the area.
P&C Container Refund & Recycling Scheme
Please bring in your recycling to the school. The mobile reciptacle is stationed at the front carpark behind the bus shelter in school hours as the students are part of the program and move the wheelie bin between 9.15 am and 2.00 pm.
One Hundred percent of the donations go to our P&C Association.
