Bike Track Opening & Graduation Assembly

Dino Raceway Opening Recognition
Hi Colleen,
Thank you so much for the honour of the rejuvenated bike track playground area being named Dino Raceway. I have attached a photo of yesterday’s unveiling.
I can’t take all the credit though – it was definitely a team effort with the ideas from the school team (with a special mention for Natashas efforts), our design team (Andrea and Landscaper) and on-site construction team Supervised by Greggles himself.
Of course, the bike track rejuvenation would not have been possible without your determination and initially Natashas to crystallise funding for the “Premium Option” from various sources including Bond University, Gaming Community Fund, Rueben Pelerman Benevolent Foundation, P&C, local community and all other sponsors.
I am so appreciative of the opportunity to have been able to create the new interactive bike track wonderland for the students which I hope will bring them enjoyment for years on end. From the initial idea through to concept and construction it was challenging, however the result is amazing!
We have thoroughly enjoyed working at the school and with all stakeholder representatives involved in the building project and playground areas.
Kind Regards,
Dino Gastaldon
My wife and I were going for a walk along the beach on one of those really hot days in January. It was late afternoon; the sun was low and a cool breeze blew over us. There were children laughing and swimming in the shallows. Young couples were sunbathing, or at least using the afternoon sun to take some amazing pictures for their social media contacts. Some people were running, others were fishing or surfing. Young parents were walking along the beach with the toddlers splashing and looking at the shells.
I looked at the young couples and I remember when our kids were that young. It had been an awesome time in our life but that had passed. I remembered when my wife and I had been courting. We used to enjoy swimming in the late afternoon sun or sunbathing on the beach. I also remembered when my children were a little bit older and they loved coming down to the beach for a swim or paddling on their boogie boards. Part of me missed those days but, to be honest, I don't know if I’d have the energy to run after my kids as I used to when they enjoyed swimming, or to keep up with them as they ran as fast as they could along the beach.
A wise man once said that there was a time for everything under the sun. Those words are so true. We all go through different times in our life and each is awesome at that time, but later on it wouldn't be as awesome or we wouldn't be able to do it as well as we did when we were younger. I think that's a good thought to reflect on as we start another year. Last year there were some incredible times that everyone had and there were probably some really tough times as well. However, they are all behind us now and we are standing on the breach of a New Year and perhaps a new chapter in our life. Children are a little older and they may be moving into a different time of their life as well.
So as this year begins let's look forward to it with excitement to see the potential rather than the problems that may arise. Let’s enjoy this time in our life and this time in the life of our children. To quote another wise man. The past has gone and the future is bright.
