We welcome you all to Term 3.

Already week one has been of great excitement celebrating 100 days for our Prep students, NAIDOC celebrations creating a class yarning stick for use in the classroom and our Yarning Circle space being created outside Q Block and our Junior Secondary Camp.

Staffing our schools continues to be a very intense space and we have been recruiting widely to replace staff movements. We thank you for your understanding and patience at this time.

Business Manager: Gabby Hammond will commence Week 2 - We thank Lorraine Yorke and Carly Kelly for leading the Admin space till Gabby relocates to us from Worongary SS

Kerrie Cox - Senior 5.
Kirra Middling has taken long service leave for term 3 and will be replaced by Georgina Suckling.
Nikki Ball and Laine East, permanent teachers, are returning from maternity leave - Teacher Release Team

We have had some new students enrol in the last week of Term 2 and this week and supporting students is impacting on classroom designs and we will contact families if movement is needed.

Please welcome the new Business Manager and teaching staff to the team.

The Mudgee Mini Olympics is on again on Monday 7^th of August (week 5). We are excited to return to the Somerset College Athletics Track for another fun filled day! This year each student, and staff member, has been allocated a house (Blue: Magpies, Yellow: Wallabies, Green: Emus or Red: Dingoes) that they will keep for their entire time at our school. On the day we encourage family and friends to come support the amazing efforts of each student. A special race will see Puggles go up against mascots from other schools and community groups! Stay turned for more information to come.

Our annual Book week events will be held this year from 19^th to 25^th August, including our dress up as your favourite book character day which will be Tuesday 22^nd August. Friday 25^th August students will attend The Super Science Circus Show as a lead to Science Week. More information will be provided closer to the date.

Hello Mudgee Families,

We are searching for a lead photographer for our Graduation Evening. Graduation will take place on Friday 3^rd November.

Mudgeeraba Special School families thanks for your diligence in supporting your students at home when they are unwell. Unfortunately there is still a range of flu and gastro related illnesses in the community.

Keeping students, families and staff well is a shared responsibility and we are following health advice when we all work together. In this fortnight newsletter we advise that families have been enacting the health policy and keeping their young people at home.
